Ten Years A Vanitian

But if there is anything the last decade has taught me, it’s to never miss an opportunity to show gratitude towards your people and your partners. Rather than recap milestones, I wanted to pen an open letter of thanks to the industry I love so dearly.

So here it goes…

Thank you to the wonderful people behind the hotels we adore, who have taken time out of their day to listen our team’s vision for VANITY GROUP. When the business first started, I was selling a dream. Combining luxury retail experiences with hospitality was uncharted territory. I’m thankful every day to our hotel partners who believe in us and share our excitement for creating incredible in-room experiences that we bring to life in a colourful, authentic way.

Thank you to our brand partners! What started with APPELLES Apothecary & Lab has grown to a global portfolio of the world’s most highly sought-after brands, from KARL LAGERFELD to KEVIN.MURPHY and Antipodes. Myself and the team are proud to be representing every single brand within our family and finding each a perfect home amongst our hotel partners.

Thank you to the backbone of the hospitality industry… housekeepers! Checking into a hotel is an experience filled with excitement and wonder because of the housekeeper who worked tirelessly to make every surface sparkle, the bed sheets crisp, the mini bar stocked, and the amenities displayed in a picture perfect way.

Thank you to our global partners across manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Our supply chain ensures hotels are equipped with the products to bring comfort to guests – from sanitiser to shampoo, receiving deliveries in a timely manner matters.

Lastly, thank you to the people who make up VANITY GROUP - our Vanitians - both past and present. Each of you are bold, creative, intelligent, empathetic, and resilient, and turn up every day with gusto. The saying goes that you are a reflection of the people you surround yourself with, and wow… how privileged I am to be surrounded by such a gifted bunch.
