Nourishing the Country with OzHarvest and VANITY GROUP

OzHarvest and VANITY GROUP have forged a strong relationship to meaningfully support those who need a helping hand in local communities. On any given night, 1 in 200 people find themselves homeless in Australia. Apart from lacking adequate nutrition, shelter, and warmth, those sleeping rough don’t have access to the basic hygiene products that we often take for granted.

VANITY GROUP is a proud supporter of OzHarvest providing regular donations of hygiene products, providing essential comfort to those in need.

What is OzHarvest?

OzHarvest is Australia's leading food rescue organisation that supports homeless people with the driving purpose to ‘Nourish our Country’.

At its core, OzHarvest rescues quality surplus food and delivers it to charities that feed people in need, or direct to community via their free market in Waterloo. Their mission is to stop food waste, feed people in need, and protect the planet by championing the value of food to drive change, while achieving five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, and Partnerships for the Goals.

A highlight for VANITY GROUP is witnessing this mission in action at the OzHarvest Market in Waterloo. Each customer who visited received an amenity set including Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, and Body Lotion.

The market sees over 400 people lining up every single day for food relief. Customers come from all walks of life including, teachers, nurses, single parents, pensioners and everyday individuals who are experiencing tough times and need a helping hand. VANITY GROUP is proud to play a small part.
